Batik
When we first learned how to make batik our paintings went somehow not bad but i still had to learn more about it, so we continiued to make more paintings wich went very well, for the next days we took one day break and worked more, batik is an art which requires a lot of paicience and precision, at the end, each of us had worked for arround 36h combined.
Note by mom: We visited batik gallery Leksa Ganesha to do these workshops and it really was the highlight of our trip!
Prambanan
Prambanan is the largest hindu temple in Indonesia and the second largest in southeast asia.
Its dedicated to the trimurti, the expression of god as Brahma the creator,Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroier, it was built in 850a.c.
Borobudur
Borobudur is a beutiful temple with many budas (some whithout heads due to an earthquake, its also the oldest budist temple in the world.
In all Indonesia its the most visited single tourist atraction, and when you arrive you receive a pair of sandals to walk arround whith, and get to keep them.
What we learned from these two sites is that Indonesia is influenced by many cultures and religions that have been coexisting together in these groups of islands for a long time, and that indonesia is therefore a very mixed country.
